Elemis FreshSkin Range

Hey Dolls,

I may be a bit late with this but had to share!

I was having a 'browse' on the Superdrug online store and I saw an advert for a new 10 piece range of Elemis products they are going to be stocking and got extremely excited!

Elemis has produced a range called FreshSkin for the younger generation and it is available on the highstreet now. Woohoo!

I personally LOVE Elemis products as they exude luxury and are amazing quality however, the normal prices are rather scary so the only time I order is from QVC in a special offer.

The prices for this range are still quite steep I must admit as the prices range from £5.95 for facewipes to £22 for Moisturiser but saying that, I do have my eye on the Fresh Start Discovery Collection for £19.

Although its probably not a range I would be able to afford to always use, I definately can't wait to give it a go (even if it is just once)

Has anyone else tried this range yet?

New L'oreal Expertise hair range - EverStrong

Hi Dolls,

A few weeks ago I mentioned a Freebie I had seen from L'oreal offering a free bottle of their new Expertise Range (see here)

Well, I received mine today and L'oreal have been very generous! I received a 250ml Bottle of Shampoo and conditioner and couldn't wait to give these a go.

A letter was enclosed letting me know the products I have received are USA versions. The Formula is exactly the same but the packaging/text in the UK may differ.

L'oreal have apparently been developing this new range for years, and it consists of three formulas to suit three different hair requirements. The formulas are non-sulphate and botanical-oil based so promise to give your hair a thorough cleanse but in a more gentle way.
The collection features EverSleek for Course and Frizzy hair, EverPure for Coloured and Dry Hair and EverStrong for Fragile and Brittle Hair.

*Pic from L'oreal Site and I believe these pics are the UK version as they differ slightly from the ones I received*
I requested the EverStrong samples, as due to my affair with my GHD's I do worry about my hair getting dry and Brittle. EverStrong has been specifically designed for Fragile and Brittle Hair and the range combines a 'reinforcing system' which helps make the hair stronger.

Yes girls, we are worth it but is this new shampoo?
The first thing we all notice is the packaging and I must say how posh does this look? It does look like you would see them in a hair salon. The second thing is obviously the smell. Now i'm a girly girl and I adore sweet, feminine scents so I didn't think this would win points in this catergory as on the label Rosemary is the main fragrance. The Shampoo is Rosemary & Juniper and the Conditioner is Rosemary & Mint. I have to say the Rosemary is not at all overbearing and I didn't feel like I'd spent a day in a herb garden. Herby (hope thats a word) it is, but horrible? No. I'm actually quite suprised at how much I like this fragrance.

The first reaction stated, lets get on to the good stuff. Is this new shampoo worth it? It is currently being sold in Boots stores at £5.99 each for 250ml. Is this 'revolutionary' shampoo that's taken 7 years to produce good?

Three words - "I'm not sure."

I've been using this for two weeks now and wash my hair normally 3-4 times a week.

I can say that my hair is so shiny I have to boast and it's so soft. I have noticed that less has come out on my brush, which I would like to put down to the 'Reconstucting formula' but it could be that now it's not so cold my hair isn't getting as damaged?

I can say I do like this shampoo and would happily use it again but I haven't seen anything that Pantene Pro V can't do. It lathers amazingly well so you don't need as much which is always a good thing and I love the fact it doesnt contain Sulpher which most shampoos do.

I'll be using it for another week or two and see what happens then. If I see any changes then I will let you all know.

Has anyone else tried anything from this range? What did you think?

Glossybox - Harrods Edition - March

Hey Dolls,

After Glossybox announced a Mystery Box, us bloggers galore were all trying to solve the puzzle and figure out the huge suprise.

Each day on the Glossybox facebook page, new letters would be given to us and we had to work out the anagram for the Clue. The Clue was Knightsbridge and that only meant one thing. HARRODS!

A few days later the suprise was confirmed. Glossybox have teamed up with Harrods to give us a Limited Edition Box. Excitement spread around the net like wildfire and I literally couldn't open the door fast enough when mine arrived!

Its no secret that the past two boxes I have literally Detested, so much so I complained. I am really not the type to complain but sometimes (Courtesy of Khloe K) "A bitch just snaps" ha-ha.

I normally spoil my excitement by looking at spoilers but I stayed strong these past two days and Squeled with joy when I opened mine today.

Lets have a look at the most antiscipated Glossybox shall we?

♥ Clarins Extra Firming Body cream - 30ml
♥ Molton Brown Moisture Bath & Shower Gel - 50ml
♥ YSL Forever Youth Liberator Serum - 5ml
♥ Narciso Rodriguez Perfume Sample
♥ Burberry Lipstick in Rosewood - 0.8g

Like, OMG.. I have actually forgiven Glossybox for sending me the last two boxes and am completely in Love with this one. I love the Luxurious Harrods packaging but most of all I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all the products! (well maybe except the 'another' body wash haha)

My fave definately has to be the YSL Facial Serum. It is indended for the older skin but hey, better to start young right? I cleansed and put this on immediately after my box came and unlike most serums it dries super fast. You put this on after cleansing but before moisturising and it's no way inconvenient for morning uses and quick makeup. It's LOVE and I love the packaging of the bottle. It's only a small 5ml sample but one pump full was enough for me so I recon I will get at least a week out of it if using both day & Night.

I am also so happy to have got the Clarins Firming lotion as I'm going away in 4 weeks and need something to help tone up my thighs.

The Burberry lipstick is lovely and creamy but I wish we got it in another colour. Rosewood is a Brown/Pink and it just didn't look right on me as I think i'm a little too young to rock a colour like this. Give me Nude/Pink any day.

The perfume sample really suprised me as i'm a lady who loves super sweet fragrances but I love this Narciso Rodriguez perfume. It's floral but has woody notes which I normally don't like but this smells devine. It's so a first date perfume and smells really sexy.
Now i'm hoping they will team up with Selfridges ;)

Did you guys like it?

GlossyBox - Feb & Complaint

Hey Dolls,

I am really late with this post but I really wanted to share my opinion of the last Glossybox as I really wasn't impressed.

I've stuck by Glossybox for 9 months, cancelling my Boudior Prive box and my Feel Unique box as I believed Glossybox gave me more. The past two months have been a bit of a disaster for me even though we've had that 'Special' Valentines Box

With the Valentines box, the only product I genuinely didn't mind was the Orly Polish but come on! I didn't pay £12.95 for 1 small nail polish. Anyway, to rub salt in my wound I saw other bloggers received Clarins products! They get Clarins and I get bloody shower gel. *Straight face*

Then I received this box.

Paul Mitchell Curl Optimiser
DuWop Venom Lipgloss
Liquid Soap
Peppermint Body Lotion (The worst thing my nostrils have ever encountered - Think foot cream peppermint)
Mineral Eyeshadow in a Pinky Gold colour
Now yeah, it's kinda ok but I was really not excited about anything in this box. Then yet again, Salt was added to the wound when I saw others received the Stick on Manicure nails but I received Liquid Soap.

This is when I put pen to paper (well emailed) Glossybox to type a small humorous complaint (please see below) Don't get me wrong, I completely understand they cater for so many different types of people and the products will vary but, If I receive another Body Wash I think I am going to scream.

Anyway, I emailed Glossybox who were lovely, and they are going to send me the nails as a 'Good will gesture' YAY!

I believe the best way to complain is to be nice, funny and non offensive. I promise you, Flattery will get you everywhere. Hope you like my compliant:

"Hey Glossybox team,

I've been an avid subscriber for 8 months now and have always loved my Glossybox but, the past few boxes I've been a little bit upset about :( I completely understand you cater for so many different women with different needs but I've hated nearly all of the products in the past two boxes.

What makes it even worse is I see bloggers who has received better boxes then me. Last month most girls got Clarins stuff (I LOVE Clarins stuff) but I got horrible Shower gel. :( Fear not though every ones different BUT, Then this month I got some horrible smelling liquid soap and loads of people got the Stick on manicure! You have no idea how jealous I was! I would have LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the stick on manicure to test. I hate acrylic nails and am always on the hunt for good stick on nails *Sigh* It's not fair Glossybox.

Glossybox, are you trying to say I smell? I use Soap & Glory Clean on me so I can assure you I don't ha-ha!

I did fill out my Beauty Profile so you could get to know me better but you sent me Paul Mitchell Curl stuff. My hairs Straight so I have no use for this at all :(

I've had an idea.... If I sent back the unused Liquid Soap and the horrible Body Lotion could I swap them for the nails? PLLEEEEAASSEEEEEEE???

Glossybox team, I am willing to give you one last go but I just don't want anymore Body wash. It's becoming offensive now haha! Deal?

Thank you,

Sadie

Ps. Happy Monday!"

Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation

Hey Loves,

As part of my Foundation mission I have been testing several brands and Foundations to find "The One." The foundation that makes you look like you've just stepped off a runway, but looks so natural you would have no idea you had any on. A Foundation that stays put as long as it says it will, and still looks picture perfect after long day. High hopes? Maybe, but with so many out there, there must be one that accommodates me & my requirements surely? Unfortunately Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation isn't it.

I was in Superdrug looking for a cheap foundation to use that promised me lasting cover and I saw this for a cheap £6.99. Bargain I thought and hey it promises "A foundation that is sweat, heat, humidity & transfer proof for up to a full 25 hrs. The revolutionary formula, complete with a revitalising mineral complex and moisturising aqua primer, helps to reenergise overworked skin and feels hydrating all day." 25 hours? Although I was sceptic about the 25 hour claim (who really is going to wear foundation for 25hours? There's only 24 hours in a day!) I was excited to see if this would last a good 12 hours.

This foundation has a pump bottle which I like as I doesn't go everywhere but it's incredibly thick. It's really hard to spread around your face with a kabuki type foundation brush so you need to use your fingers. Because of the thickness of this foundation it felt really heavy on my face and I was concious of it clogging up my pores and not allowing my skin to breathe. Also because of the thickness it really does enphasise fine lines.

My current favourite is the Nars Sheer Glow foundation which is so light and water based but gives amazing coverage. Uisng a product so light and then going to a product so heavy really made me notice how crap this is. Yes, It's £6.99 and compared to the Nars, is a bargain but I really can't stand the heaviness.

One good thing about the foundation is it does last a good 5 hours and has good coverage.

I personally cannot stand how caked my face feels and wont be buying this again :(

What do you guys think of it?

L'Oreal, Triple Active Nourish Moisturiser Review

Hey Ladies,

I consider a good moisturiser a staple product in my daily make up routine as well as my daily cleansing routine. Although I'm only nearly 24 I do worry about my skin & the up and coming wrinkles, so when I see a new cream I can't wait to give it a go.

A few weeks ago on lunch, I 'somehow happened' to be in Superdrug when I spotted this little lovely.

L'Oreal Triple Active Nourish Moisturiser

I normally use Superdrugs own brand Vitamin E moisturiser but while in the aisle (it rhymes ha-ha) I took a normal look at the competition & spotted this on offer. I read the benefits and quickly added it to my basket.

On paper it seemed amazing. They claim "The ceramide complex of Triple Action Nourish stimulates the production of Lipids* in the skin)
* Lipids are a barrier for the skin against infection, weather, sun etc.. so pretty important

They claim the Actions of this cream are to "Hydrate for 24 hours, Protect the skin as it includes a UVB filter and to Nourish as it is rich in essential fatty acids Omega 3 & 6 and the product contains Omega Ceramides"

All sounds great right? So that night after I cleansed I couldn't wait to smother it on my skin. The first thing I noticed was the smell. I can't put my finger on what it is but it smells so good. It reminded me a bit of Dove soap mixed with something else. Vanilla? I'm not sure but whatever it is I like it. I looked on the ingredients list and they have added Parfum/Fragrance to it, so if your skin is sensitive or bad with fragrance then I'm not sure if this product would agree with it.

This cream is very rich and you really do not need a lot as it spreads like a dream. Although this cream is for Dry to Very Dry skin it isn't greasy, and does sink in really well after a minute or two. I wouldn't recommend it for Oily skin though as it is quite rich. I have normal skin and it worked like a dream so don't be put off if you don't suffer from Dry skin. A few minutes later I rubbed my skin and it was soft like silk. So far I love.

The next morning I wanted to see how make up went over it so I cleansed and applied this to my face. After about 1-2 minutes it had sunk in and I applied my makeup as normal. There was no greasy sheen to my face then nor a few hours later and my make up went on lovely. Yipee!

Well after three weeks of using this cream I absolutely love it. My skin does always feel hydrated, comfortable and nourished and my Mum has commented on how healthy it looks.

I will definitely be picking this up again!

You can get it from Superdrug, Boots and all supermarkets now for £6.12.

Shopping Gone Mad - I Love Pastels

Hey Dolls,

On the Weekend I decided some shopping was in order as I have been dying to get my hands on some pastel colored items. I am so happy Spring/Summer is all about Pastels as I love them and think Spring is definately A Pastel kind of time.

Out and about in my local shopping area I unfortunately couldn't find much I liked in Pastels Shades. Therefore, in order to avoid it being a trip wasted I browsed around Primark & H&M and found some other little gems.

♥ Snake Framed Sunnys - Primark- £3
♥ Make up Bag - Primark - £3
♥ Mutli Coloured Boat Ring - Primark - £2
♥ Camel Bowed Shoes - Primark - £6

♥ Sheer Pastel Purple Blouse - Primark - £10
♥ Lilac Cami (To go under it) - Primark - £1.50

♥ Camel Miliarty Cardigan/Jacket - H&M - £15

Normally I have a favourite purchase but I adore everything I bought! I love my little Boat Ring and although I normally hate Snake Print stuff I LOVE these sunglasses. The Pastel Purple blouse is completely see through and I was going to put it back as I didn't think the Cami colour would work ,but it goes perfectly. I will most probably wear this with Black Skinny Jeans and my Barry M Lilac Nail Polish.

The Military Jacket looks much better on and although it's more of a cardigan than a Jacket, It is quite thick and definately could be used as a light Jacket in Spring/Summer. I bought the Camel Bowed Shoes to go with it and will probably wear A black Tank Top and Black Skinny Jeans, Again! (I seriously love Black Skinny Jeans as you can guess)

Primarks got some really nice stuff at the moment, have you made any cheeky purchases?

A Trip To Thailand - Help Needed

Hey Ladies,

A good few months ago I posted a list of all the things I'd like to do before I became an OAP. (see Here) and one of these things was Travelling around Thailand to Koh Tao, Phi Phi, Bangkok etc.

Well girls, I've only gone and booked a three week trip around Thailand! Originally I was thinking 5 weeks but A: I couldn't get the time off work & B: I can't afford 5 weeks spending money! ha-ha

My cousin Lucy who is currently travelling will be in Thailand in April so to recover from my recent broken heart I decided to go for it. My aunt, mum and my other cousin decided to jump ship too so were going on a family vacay!

My family are quite something. My mum and Aunt still act like there 25 so this is going to be a right laugh.

We will be staying in Bangkok for a few days then travelling down to Phuket and Island hopping every three days. We've planned shopping and the Full Moon party as well as hitting the beaches.

I've never been to Thailand before so was wondering if anyone had and could give me some tips on temperatures in April, The Full Moon Party, The Food and most of all.. How much do you take for three weeks inc Accomodation?

We have a two hour stop of in Doha also so was wondering if anyone has been to this Airport and is the Duty Free good?

Any info would be much appriciated!

My February Love - Tux Jacket

Hey Ladies,

For weeks I had trowelled shops and online stores in hope I would find a Nude coloured Blazer/Jacket with Black cuffs and feminine features. Now my search is finally over and I am the proud owner of this beauty.

I am so in love with this jacket it's ridiculous.
My obsession for a blazer like this started when I watched an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Kim K was wearing a gorgeous Nude Blazer and I wanted it! A few weeks later I saw a woman in a shop wearing a similar one but with Black Cuffs and I fell in love even more.

*Pic nicked from Google images*

I'm only 5ft 2 so find the traditional style blazers swamp me and make me look masculine, especially with the blunt tailoring and straight lines. This is a more floaty fabric and definately appears more feminine then the others I have seen. I love the way it parts in the middle and although it is polyester it looks soft. I guess thats why it's called the "Soft" Tux Jacket. ha-ha.

I'll be teaming this with a Plain Black Tank Top and A pair of Black Skinny Jeans for cheeky drinks with the girls or casual days out.

What do you guys think of it?

New CID I-Glow Review

Hey Girlies,

I've seen so much about the New CID cosmetics and recently bloggers have been raving about them so as you can imagine, I was extremely happy to get this beauty in the post. It retails at £22.50 but I managed to get my mitts on it for just £6 including 6 issues of Glamour magazine. (More info about this deal should you want it, is at the bottom of this post)

Say Hello to CID I-Glow in 'Ice Pop'

I've only had this product Two days but I'm completely in love with it! It's the perfect Pinky Peach and gives such a lovely natural glow. In all honesty I haven't owned a Marble type Blusher before but I am really converted now. The New CID I-Glow is a compact Shimmer Powder that has a dimension of different shades to it. There's White, Lilac, Pink, Peach and what looks like bits of Bronzer, so I think it would suit any skin tone. After a quick swirl of the blusher brush and application it gives my cheeks a lovely pinky peach flush and a subtle highlight on my cheekbones. It definitely is shimmery (hence calling it a Shimmer Powder) but in no way is it over bearing or too shiny once applied. I can't wait to take this on holiday with me in April as I know its going to look beautiful with a tan!

The only negative about this product is the chunky ugly packaging. It's a thick White clinical looking box which really doesn't go with how pretty and delicate the product itself is. For £22.50 I definitely would prefer packaging that makes a statement or at least looks nice on the outside too. Also, the packaging around the powder is a metallic Silver tin foil looking thing which I just don't get. It's like having an engagement ring presented in a box made of dried Mud?

Apart from that one moan I love, love, love this product. So much so, I ordered another 6 month Glamour subscription for £6 for a friend just so I could get a back up! ha-ha!

How to get 6 issues of Glamour and free goodies:
I used to work for a magazine subscription company and there are always deals on all the magazines. I use a site called Magazine Boutique which offers 6 issues of Glamour for £6 + a Free Gift. I've done this deal several times for both myself and as extra pressies for my Glamour reader friends. I've had free perfumes, Free Benefit cosmetics & Skincare stuff.
Basically most female magazines offer incentives to get you to sign up and the best subscription company for this is magazineboutique.co.uk. The subscription is a Direct Debit and after the introduction price it does roll on unless you cancel it. With Glamour Mag, after the 6 months for £6 it rolls over to £7 every 6 months. I normally do online banking so once I receive my first or second issue I just cancel it online. You still receive all 6 issues and your free gift ;) Woohoo! It's very cheeky but after my last issue I re-subscribe again and get another free gift and another 6 issues for £6.

Has anyone else tried the New CID I-glow range? Or anything from CID at all? If so, what did you think and is there a Gem I'm missing out on?

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation review

Hey Dolls,

I was in desperate need of a foundation and thanks to an up and coming trip to Thailand I am saving as many Pennys as possible. As you may know I'm on a mission to find the 'One' in a foundation. I've tried Nars, Lancome, Maybelline and now Rimmel (Please see my 'Foundation mission' Label on the Left)

I popped in to my local Superdrug to see what offers were currently on, and saw this beauty at a cheap £5.99 on offer. After the introductory offer it will retail at £8.99.

This product promises "A healthy, radiant glow that minimises premature skin ageing" so who could turn this down? If like me you work full time and get out of bed before the sun rises, The skin can become slightly dull and tired looking. This products promises to banish any sign of fatigue. Woop Woop!

Positives:

First thing I noticed was the bottle. The bright orange lid is shimmery and the glass bottle is really thick and sturdy which is brilliant if like me, you are prone to dropping things. It has SPF 15 too which I always look for in a foundation and as I rubbed a tester on the back of my hands I like the smell. So far so good :)

The next day I put this to the test and was pleasantly surprised. The consistency is thick but spreads easily without pulling the skin and a little goes a long way. The product does have a slight shimmer to it but I can assure you its not glittery, in fact it definitely adds a healthy glow without being too shiny. It's not a greasy product at all but it feels light and moisturising which is something I also look for in a foundation.

At work that day a colleague commented on how fresh my skin looked which gives this product major bonus points in my book.

Negatives:

The first negative is that it is medium coverage so if you are trying to hide a lot then its not the best option although, you could use this over, or mixed in with another foundation of choice to still get that glow.

Second negative is it doesn't last as long as I hoped it would. I cleanse and moisturise in the mornings to prep my skin which is meant to ensure better staying power. Don't get me wrong it does last a good 3-4 hours but I found that by the end of my working day the coverage was practically non existant. I didn't use powder over this foundation as I think it would defeat the point of the object, so maybe that has something to do with it?

Coverage 4 hours after application:

As you can see skin is still glowy but there isn't much coverage at all.

Apart from that I like this foundation. I like the Bottle, I like the Price and I love having glowy radiant skin at 6.30 in the morning. I'm sure all my fellow passengers on the bus are jealous of me ;)

I would defiantly recommend giving this foundation a go but not if you need a better coverage.

6/10

Has anyone tried it? What did you think?

New Body Shop Chocomania Range

Hi Dolls,

I'm not sure about you but I love the Body Shop Body Butters and I love Chocolate so when I popped in to my local store and saw this I fell in love!

Body shop have a new range out in time for Valentines called "Chocomania" and as you can guess, it's all about Chocolate.

This range consists of a Body Butter, A Heart chocolate Soap, Body Scrub, Lip Butter, Shower Cream & A Body Lotion. The Body Butter and Body Scrub are currently on a introductionary offer of £9 and the rest of the products are between £2-£8 so not too bad of value.

I've had dry lips recently due to this unfortunate weather so I picked up the Lip Butter and adore it already! It's Glossy, Smells of Chocolate and best of all tastes like chocolate! I'm on a holiday diet currently, so this will definitely curb my 4pm chocolate cravings. I was tempted to buy the Body Butter as its Smells AMAZING, But as much as I love chocolate, I'm not sure if I want my whole body to smell of it. I am tempted to go back to the store and pick up the Shower Cream though. Hmmm...

If you order online you get Free delivery on orders over £20 and A free Body Butter on orders over £25!

Please see the range Here

What do you guys think, Is this something you'd buy?

Glossybox - February

Hey Beauties,

On Monday morning I received this months Glossybox and as first impressions went, I likey!

This months theme is obviously Valentines and the normal baby pink box has been replaced by a bright pink box Katie Price would be proud of. I've seen two bloggers who didn't like the colour very much but I personally love it. Yes, it is very bright and a bit out there but like I say, It's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring ;) I also thought the little heart sticker on the paper wrapping was quite cute.

Inside the box there's a folded card which says "Happy Valentines Day from Glossybox" with a bunch of red roses on it. As a newly singleton I'm not sure whether to appreciate the one and only card I will receive this year, or feel a little bit sad that Glossybox have to rub it in! Hmmm... Nice gesture I guess and at least I can say I received a card (technically I'm not lying?)  ha-ha! You open the card up obvs and inside is the usual list of what you have received.

Here's what I received

Left to Right
♥ Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner in Plum - Full Size
♥ Murad Hybrids Skin Perfecting Primer - 5ml
♥ Fab Gentle Body Wash - 2.0oz
♥ Weleda One Step Cleanser & Toner - 10ml
♥ Orly Nail Polish in Ruby - 5.3ml
 (and a sweet)

I have to admit I am a little disappointed with this box. I love the Pink presentation of the box but lets face it, We subscribe for the actual products not the box. Compared with all the other boxes I've received since starting my subscription in July this one is the most shit Meh...
I haven't got that excited feeling this month and that bothers me. I LOVE that excited feeling of new shiny products, who doesn't? But unfortunately this didn't do it for me.

I got a body wash! *Straight Face* I could have walked into Superdrug and picked out one for £1 and don't get me started on the minuscule cleanser. I love Weleda but I do not need another Cleanser :(
To top it off, I received an Eyeliner Pencil in Plum (I do not wear purple eyeliner) and another Red nail polish to add to my already huge collection. Also, to add insult to injury, I've seen other people received Clarins products. :( I would have soooo preferred these to the Nail Varnish and Cleanser! Had I received these products this review would have been a whole lot different.

In all honesty the only thing I semi like is the Murad Primer. I love a good primer so this will come in handy seeing as my Smashbox one has run out.

This is the first time since July I haven't liked at least 3 of the 5 products so I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt this month. Glossybox better pull something brilliant out the bag next month or the subscription is CANCELLED!

Did you guys like this months box?

4♥ The samples to give out to everyone you know :)

Anyway, Back to the Product itself.  I have been using the products about 5 weeks now and there are some Positives & One Negative.

The first thing I noticed about the 'New and Improved' Pantene was the bottle (obviously) It's a lot more sleek and modern and looks better on the Bathroom shelf then the old one.
♥ Shampoo
♥ Conditioner
♥ Split End Serum

The next thing I noticed was the smell. It's much more fruity then the old Pantene and as I actually had the exact same one in the old version in my bathroom I gave them both quite a good sniff. I prefer the new smell much more to be honest.

When washing my hair I noticed the formula for both Shampoo & Conditioner is definitely more concentrated. You don't need too much of this as it lathers up a storm, and a small 50p blob was more than enough for me (I have quite long hair too)

It definitely made my hair shiny and soft and the feedback from my friends & family who used the testers has been great. My mum has Fine Hair so I gave her the Aqua Light tester and she was really impressed with it. It definitely made her hair more volumised and it looked really shiny too.

The only negative was after about 3 weeks of using it 3-4 times a week my hair stopped liking it and wasn't as shiny as it normally is and has to be washed nearly daily. My hair has never needed to be washed daily! I can normally get away with 2-3 days at least without washing.

My favourite product was the Split End Serum. This stuff has been transforming the ends of my hair! My last hair cut was like 6 months ago so of course I have the inevitable Split Ends. I've been using this on dry hair after it's been styled and it makes it look so smooth & Shiny :) Defo would recommend this!

Oh well, Overall I really like the new products and all my testers really liked them so Pantene must be doing something right ;)

Has anyone tried the new brand too? What do you think?

At Home Facial

Hi Dolls,

It's been a rubbish few weeks and now its starting to show in my skin. Lack of sleep, Too much alcohol and Too much make up to cover my broken heart have resulted in Dry, Dull skin and frankly it's rather pissed with me. I decided I needed a facial to apologise to it but with xmas not long over and an overdraft that also requires some attention I decided a DIY job is my only option (Cheaper and at least I wont have to feel sick every time I think of my bank account ha-ha)

My choice products this week were:

♥ Soap & Glory Clarity Face Soap
♥ Dermalogica Multi Vitamin Thermafoliant
♥ Montagne Jeunnesse Peel Off Face Mask
♥ Nuxe Oil

I got the Clarity Face Soap for Christmas and am really loving it. It's a 3 in 1 Daily Detox Vitamin C Facial wash with little pink exfoliating beads. In all honesty the beads do absolutely nothing as you cant even feel them but I picked this as the words DETOX seemed perfectly fitting. It contains Superfruit Plum Skin Brightening complex according to them and my dull skin definitely needs some of that. I lathered up a small grape sized blob and thoroughly 'Detoxed' my skin. After that was rinsed off I went to work with the Dermalogica exfoliator. I got this in a previous Glossybox and completely in love with it. A pea sized amount is more than enough and so many little granules are packed in to that amount it never fails to get rid of any dead skin. Think of a really thick body sugar scrub but with the smallest granules ever. I've had it since October I believe and I use it once/twice a week and still have loads left, what's more impressive as it was only a 15ml sample size. Another thing I love is this product heats up once on the skin which I find quite soothing. I will definitely be re-purchasing this.

After detoxing and exfoliating I was ready for the face mask. I choose just a cheap Montagne Jeunnesse Peel Off Face Mask because A: I have several of them in my goodie draw and B: They are so cheap I won't mind replacing them (unlike my Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel) I definitely prefer A peel off mask as it's just so much easier. I used the Anti- Stress one that smells like cucumber. Not my favourite scent but just because I'm stressed doesn't mean my skin has to be.

After peeling off the mask and wiping my face with a damp flannel I treated my skin to a 3 minute massage with the amazing Nuxe Oil. This product is something else I received in a Glossybox and again, I love it. It's a repairing oil and every time I use it my skin glows. I usually put this on twice a week at night so it can do its magic while I'm sleeping. I figure that if you're skin repairs itself while you sleep then the Nuxe Oil will double the benefits. The oil can be used on all of your body but as it was a sample size I'm reserving mine for the skin everyone See's. The face.

The morning after my DIY facial my skin glowed. I met up with friends for dinner and my friend Ann said I look a lot better (the week before she walked in the door and said "Oh Sade, you look knackard" Charming I know but I will embrace her 'Look a lot better' sort of compliment and trust my skin has accepted my apology ;)

Anyone know of any amazing facial products I should try out?

Feel unique Beauty Box - January

Hey Girlies,

On Friday I received my second Beauty Box from Feel Unique. For those of you that are not familiar with the Feel Unique Beauty Box, it is exactly like a Glossybox (except the packaging) You pay a monthly subscription cost of £9.95 and each month will receive a box filled with 5-6 goodies to try out. You have no idea what products are in the box until you receive it but you can bet your life on Skincare, Hair Care, Nail stuff, Perfume Samples and Makeup. Each month you receive a bunch of different products that are either new or old but need some advertising. It's a great way to test out high end or high st brands without paying the price tag. Most of the products are sample sizes but you do get your full size products too (Glossybox are great for full size and previous boxes have included full size Nars, Illamasqua and L'oreal professional hair stuff) If you would like more information about these boxes or want to sign up please see Glossybox link Here and Feel Unique Beauty Box Here.

The boxes are taking the beauty world by storm and I get so excited each month wondering whats inside so I will show you this months.

From Left to Right
♥ Dead Sea Spa Salt Brushing Sachets x2, 50g each
♥ Caudalie Anti Oxidant Body Lotion for Normal to Dry skin - 30ml
♥ Phyto Express Conditioner - 20ml
♥ Green People Gentle Cleanse - 10 ml
♥ Lierac Comfort Peel - 2ml
♥ Lierac Extreme Age Defence - 15ml

I am really pleased with the Dead Sea Salt sachets as I have a few Dead Sea products and they are really good. I like the Brand as it's nearly 100% all natural and from what I've found the products do exactly what they say they will. According to Dead Sea Spa these are an "exfoliating scrub which is deeply hydrating, aids skin repair and rejuvenates appearance of skin. It also contains coconut oil & Vitamin E to nourish" Sounds good to me. I actually reviewed the Shampoo & Conditioner not long ago so feel free to take a peak Here

Glossybox have actually sent Dead Sea Spa products in past boxes so I was a little disappointed Feel Unique didn't tap in to the competitors and send something different. Never the less, I will enjoy using these.

I was quite happy with the Caudalie Body Lotion as I moisturise daily so get through a lot and I've used Caudalie before. I've used this cream today and I like it. I smells like my nans roses and I personally hate the smell of Rose but this is pleasant. It has a thin texture so spreads well and sinks in quickly and feels quite luxurious.

I'm keen to test out the Phyto Conditioner as last time I used Phyto (many years ago) it was horrible. A Hairdressing friend worked in a salon which only used Phyto and after using it my hair was so dry. I love that it's more natural, and this conditioner in particular is designed for Damaged and Weakened hair so I'm hoping after all these years I may find a jewel from something I hated :)

The Green People Cleanser I'm personally not too fussed about. I'm more of a face wash or Hot cloth cleanser gal and this product requires cotton pads. I like using water on my face as it feels more 'washed' but with this product you just massage it on and wipe of make up with the Cotton pad. I know that sounds a bit negative but It has positives. Its alcohol free and is made with 93.77% of certified Organic Ingredients. I did chuckle at the exactness of that percentage but hey it's impressive. Will I brave the loss of water and give it a go? Probably as it would be rude not too ;)

The Two Lierac products I gave to my mum who kindly hovered at the opening of the box, and pointed out I'm too young to be using Wrinkle cream anyway. We received Extreme  Age-Defence Infra Red Lifting cream which apparently "Re-activates the synthesis of collagen fibres and produces a face resculpting effect" Fancy. I'll let my mum get on with that one. We also received a small Comfort Peel Wrinkle Smoother. It didn't come with any instructions so mum has no idea what to do with it. Oh well she seems happy enough.

I like the Feel Unique box but I did cancel my subscription to it. I'm trying to save and I currently get the Glossybox so can't afford two boxes. Also, Glossybox offers more products I like and at least one full size product. Don't get me wrong either box offers amazing value for money for £9.95 for this box or £12.95 for the Glossybox (they charge packaging) you always get triple your moneys worth in the products. But this is my second box and to be honest it hasn't impressed me the way my Glossybox does. You should have seen last months Glossybox. I haven't really used any of the products in either Full Uniques box but I am always using the Glossybox products.

Did anyone get this box too? If so, what are your thoughts?

Garnier Exfo-Brush Wash Review

Hey Dolls,

Religiously I never go to bed with make-up on and to me it's the Cardinal Sin. That's why I always have some sort of facewash available. I've used several in the past few years and always get excited about new ones available.

While in Superdrug a few weeks ago I was scanning the section for my next purchase, when I spotted this newish contraption. The Garnier Exfo-Brusher Wash from the Pure Active range.

As A brand I quite like Garnier products, and as it was half price I thought why not give it a go? Also, reading the back of the bottle I liked the sound of the benefits. Intensive Deep Cleaning, Helps to Fade Marks, Unclogs impurities from pores and apparently dramatically reduces shine by reducing surface sebum levels.

The Exfo-Brusher Wash is designed more for spot prone skin and although I have normal skin, when that Lady's time of the month comes it's a whole different story. Also I'm a firm believer that prevention is better than cure.

At the top of the bottle it has 170 Soft Flexi bristles which is designed to gently remove them horrid dead skin cells and the actual product contains 2% Salicylic Acid which is a natural anti-bacterial ingredient. It also contains something they have labelled HerbaSoothe which they claim is a "Natural active derived from Blueberries, selected for its caring and soothing properties"

The first time use was a bit tricky as I had absolutely no idea how to open it ha ha! What I realised after, is on the back, when you peel back the info it has instructions. Yes, I should have been born blonde. ha-ha. This product is designed to work on wet skin so make sure you splash some water on it first.

To use you need to follow these instructions:
1. To open you must twist the head with the Bristles 180 degrees so its facing away from you.
2. Turn the bottle upside down and squeeze out the desired amount of product.
3. Lift the bottle up and then close the bottle by twisting the head back round.
4. Off you go. I normally massage in circles avoiding the eye area.
5. Once finished clean the bristles under running water.

I found the bristles really soft and although the product spreads quite well It is quite thick so I have found myself needing to squeeze a bit extra out. That might just be me not putting enough on originally though, but I am learning to get the right amount out first time.

The product itself leaves my skin tingly clean in a really good refreshing way. After using the bristles I just rinse it off with water and that's that. I also really like the smell of this product, I can't pin point what it is but it reminds me of the Sea mixed with something Anti-Bacterial. In other words a refreshing Clean smell.

As I have normal skin I HAVE to use moisturiser as it makes my skin quite tight afterwards. This isn't such a big deal to me though as I always use moisturiser anyway.

I can definitely see how this product would work well on an oily or spot prone skin as it really did mop up all my oils. A few months ago a friend of mine who suffers quite badly with acne and oil asked me for a recommendation and I told her to get the L'oreal Perfect Clean in the White bottle. She purchased it and started using it and in a week you could definitely notice the difference. This product has the same sort of ingredients and the same sort of method so I've recommended this for her too now.

Another positive is that even when you've finished with the bottle you can use the bristles with another cleanser or face wash :)

If you would like to buy this product you can get it from any Boots or Superdrug store and the RRP is £7.99.

Has anyone tried this? What did you guys think?

Hello Again

Hi Dolls,

I have been the worst blogger recently so i'm really sorry. My start to 2012 hasn't been great either. Me & The Hubby of 4 years parted ways *Sniff Sniff* and as the camera was his I was left cameraless for my posts. Fear not though, thanks to the January sales and 50% off I am now a proud owner of my very own camera and am BACK!!

*Just incase you were wondering it was a mutual agreement and we will hopefully remain best friends for life. How mature does that sound? Guess I'll have to add dating posts now and fill you in on those terrible first dates, emotional re-unions with the Ex & Drunken nights out.

As you are reading this, I am currently working on several reviews due to be up shortly ;)

Much Love,

Sadie
