Hello Dolls,
Well, I finished my Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish and decided instead of restocking, I would take up a fantastic offer which included a Elemis Pro radiance cleanser. I got a 5 piece set of full size Elemis products for £35, and lets be honest, its not a deal to turn your nose up at.
Anyway, I have been using my Elemis Pro Radiance cleanser for a week now, and decided I would do a comparison between the two as they are actually very similar.
The products:
*Please see end of post on stockists and where to buy*
Both the Cleanse & Polish, and the Pro Radiance cleanser have a rich and creamy consistency and are used in the same way.
Top to bottom:
Liz Earle - Cleanse & Polish
Elemis - Pro Radiance
For anyone that hasn't tried the Cleanse & Polish or Pro Radiance, it goes a little something like this:
♥ Massage the cleanser on to a dry face and leave it for a minute to really dissolve makeup, oil or grime.
♥ Whilst waiting, place the muslin cloth or hand mitts into a bowl or sink full with hot water.
♥ Ring out your Muslin cloth or hand mitt so it is damp. It doesn't work as effectively if it dripping wet or quite wet.
♥ Then in circular motions or long strokes wipe away your makeup
♥ Pat your face dry and admire your amazing healthy skin (Don't forget to clean your cloth or mitt afterwards though as it can get rather dirty and that would just be pointless).
Both cleansers are cream based rather than soap based, and are packed full with natural ingredients that really give your skin a deep clean and a boost.
Cleanse and Polish contains: Cocoa butter, Rosemary essential oil/extract/, Hops extract, Chamomile Essential Oil/Extract, Eucalyptus Essential Oil, pro-vitamin B5, Beeswax and Glycerin (which attracts water to the skin)
Elemis Pro Radiance contains: Sweet Brazilian Orange, Lavender, Ylang Ylang, Patchouli, Moringa Seed Peptide, Great Burdock, Noni and Assai Fruit.
As you can see, both cleansers are packed with some amazing ingredients and fight signs of aging, fatigue and help achieve a more radiant and hydrated skin :)
Similarity's
♥ Both Cleaners do what they say on the tub. They get rid of every smidgen of makeup and leave skin extremely soft, clean and hydrated.
♥ Both contain some AMAZING natural ingredients that really boost your skin, and give it what it needs in this day & age.
♥ Both have won numerous awards in the Beauty industry (Liz Earle has the most)
♥ Both feel extremely luxurious to use
Differences:
♥ Price. Elemis Pro Radiance is priced at £27.50 for 150ml and only comes in one size. Liz Earle is much more reasonable at £21.95 for 200ml, £11.55 for 100ml (without a muslin cloth), £7.65 for 50ml and £5.10 for 30ml.
♥ Smell. Pro Radiance doesn't really have a scent which surprises me considering it contains Ylang Ylang, Lavender and Orange. It's personal preference though as I like a product to smell of something enticing. Cleanse & Polish does have a slight scent and its mostly Eucalyptus. I don't personally like this smell but I must admit it does make my skin feel cleaner.
In my personal opinion I would most likely buy Liz Earle again, probably just for the price and the fact it's better suited for younger skin compared to the Pro Radiance. Saying that my skin is absolutely glowing at the moment and I used it on my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it.
