New L'oreal Expertise hair range - EverStrong

Hi Dolls,

A few weeks ago I mentioned a Freebie I had seen from L'oreal offering a free bottle of their new Expertise Range (see here)

Well, I received mine today and L'oreal have been very generous! I received a 250ml Bottle of Shampoo and conditioner and couldn't wait to give these a go.

A letter was enclosed letting me know the products I have received are USA versions. The Formula is exactly the same but the packaging/text in the UK may differ.

L'oreal have apparently been developing this new range for years, and it consists of three formulas to suit three different hair requirements. The formulas are non-sulphate and botanical-oil based so promise to give your hair a thorough cleanse but in a more gentle way.
The collection features EverSleek for Course and Frizzy hair, EverPure for Coloured and Dry Hair and EverStrong for Fragile and Brittle Hair.

I requested the EverStrong samples, as due to my affair with my GHD's I do worry about my hair getting dry and Brittle. EverStrong has been specifically designed for Fragile and Brittle Hair and the range combines a 'reinforcing system' which helps make the hair stronger.

Yes girls, we are worth it but is this new shampoo?
The first thing we all notice is the packaging and I must say how posh does this look? It does look like you would see them in a hair salon. The second thing is obviously the smell. Now i'm a girly girl and I adore sweet, feminine scents so I didn't think this would win points in this catergory as on the label Rosemary is the main fragrance. The Shampoo is Rosemary & Juniper and the Conditioner is Rosemary & Mint. I have to say the Rosemary is not at all overbearing and I didn't feel like I'd spent a day in a herb garden. Herby (hope thats a word) it is, but horrible? No. I'm actually quite suprised at how much I like this fragrance.

The first reaction stated, lets get on to the good stuff. Is this new shampoo worth it? It is currently being sold in Boots stores at £5.99 each for 250ml. Is this 'revolutionary' shampoo that's taken 7 years to produce good?

Three words - "I'm not sure."

I've been using this for two weeks now and wash my hair normally 3-4 times a week.

I can say that my hair is so shiny I have to boast and it's so soft. I have noticed that less has come out on my brush, which I would like to put down to the 'Reconstucting formula' but it could be that now it's not so cold my hair isn't getting as damaged?

I can say I do like this shampoo and would happily use it again but I haven't seen anything that Pantene Pro V can't do. It lathers amazingly well so you don't need as much which is always a good thing and I love the fact it doesnt contain Sulpher which most shampoos do.

I'll be using it for another week or two and see what happens then. If I see any changes then I will let you all know.

Has anyone else tried anything from this range? What did you think?

GlossyBox - September 2011 ♥

Another Month, another Glossybox and this one was a cracker. The theme this month was 5 Future Classics.

This is by far the best box I've received and I adore all of the products. Unfortunately I won't be using the StriVectin SD Eye Concentrate as it's a little too mature for my skin but my mum happily accepted this. Matter of fact she snatched it out my hand quicker than I could blink. My favourite product has to be the Eye & Eyebrow palette from HD Brows.

I love a good eyebrow kit so will be testing this out thoroughly. I also love it as it has the thin slanted brush included and this type of brush is perfect for getting a good neat eyebrow shape. I've sort of lost my Benefit Eye kit (here) so this came at a brilliant time!

I love my Glossybox this month and am already looking forward to my next one! :D

My August Loves ♥

Another month and another list of My months Loves.

Here's what I've been reaching for and using the most in August...

left to Right

♥ Soap & Glory Clean Girls - I love this Shower Gel! It lasts forever, smells lovely and leaves me soft. Plus I love the pump.

♥ L'oreal Nutri Sun - With August being a bit rubbish weather wise and my real tan fading I used this a few times in August. I have tried Johnsons & Doves version of this but they do nothing for me. This gives me the perfect colour from the first application and I find it fades rather than comes off.

♥ Maybelline Mineral Liquid Foundation - I used this foundation all throughout July & August and really like it. It doesn't have the best coverage but it's really light which is perfect for hot days (not that we will have many more of those) and it makes my skin look healthy which can only be a good thing.
♥ Benefit Lipgloss in 'Didnt hear it from me' - It's a lovely light pink colour that works really well with my new Nude Lippie. Not too sticky & smells delish.

♥ MUA Pressed Powder - As I was on a spending ban and my other face powder had completely run out, It was in desperation I purchased this. BUT, It's actually really good! Okay, it's no match for Macs Mineralise Powder BUT for £1 you cant complain and it does the job :) I will buying some more bits from this range in my quest to save money and will do a full review then.

L'oreal Colour Riche Serum lipstick

Hey Dolls,

On Saturday I purchased my first ever Lipstick (well one I will try and wear often) and I can't believe I wasted so many years!!

I got L'oreal colour Riche serum lipstick in S101 (Freshly candy) which is a light pink and I adore it! please see pics below.

In the middle of the stick is a boosting serum which contains Collagen and Hyaluronic Acid. It really does hydrate and plump. I wore it last night to my friends Ann summers party and got loads of compliments. I did find though, that it doesn't last very long. Saying that I was drinking, so I had to re apply every 30 mins or so. :(

Regardless of that I love it and have just ordered 2 Mac lipsticks from my Aunt in St Germain and Snob. Might as well while I'm a roll ha-ha. ♥

I now completely understand why people say they love wearing lipstick as I really did feel more glam with it on. 

I retails at £8.69 in Superdrug and Boots.

Whats your favourite lipstick? Any recommendations?

Stuff I love!

I just wanted to share some of the stuff I am currently loving and couldnt live without! Going clockwise we have:

My organiser/Diary/Notepad! My god if I didnt have this i'd be lost. The obvious is Birthdays, shifts at work, plans i've made etc.. But I also use it for my savings plan, Diet plan, Holiday ideas, Blogging ideas etc.. You name it and it'll be in my organiser! The thought of leaving the house without it gives me shivers haha, maybe i'm a secret control freak? Oh well..

Next is my 'Jimmy Choo perfume'. I only got this on my Birthday 8 days ago but thats it, the search for the 'one' has been called off. I absolutely love it! Its really sweet, feminine and a little exotic (exotic being the word my boyfriend used) Although its sweet and feminine it has a really sexy smell to it! and my boyfriend seems to love it which can only be a good thing! haha!

Next is my 'L'oreal Lash Renewal.' I'm lucky enough to have what I consider nice eyelashes and in my opinion i'd like to keep them that way! As they say, prevention is better than cure :) I've only been using it 3 days in which I havent seen a difference yet but after its been 2 weeks and I have formed a fair opinion i'll write a proper review on it :)

Then we have the newest addition to my make up bag... my 'Mac Mineralize Blush in Hang Loose'.  My auntie works for Mac so i'm lucky enough to get my mitts on products for cheap and on B'days & Xmas :)
I must admit I was a little worried when I saw it. It's a duo blush with half a lovely pink and the other a lilac colour. I was only worried when I saw the Lilac to be honest and remember thinking "Who wears purple blush?" haha! Well it just goes to show that you should never judge a book by its cover. In no way does it come out Lilac. Its the best highlighter powder i've ever used. You can use the pink first, then sweep the lilac over it on your cheekbones or you can use them both together. It gives a really natural glow that doesnt look glittery or too shiny. I use this on my cupids brow and in the corners of my eyes to liven things up at ridiculous o'clock in the morn.

Next is the Soap and Glory 'Righteous Butter'. Its really thick, smells devine and banishes any dry patches! I find it works best just after a bath or shower. Its not cheap (retails at just over £10 in Boots) but its a large 300ml tub and little goes along way. I can still smell/feel it the next day and It's been my saviour throughout winter!

Then we have the celeb/public favourite cleanser 'Liz Earle clean and polish' This stuff is so good i'm going to do a seperate post on it. My mum bought me the kit for my birthday and I already cannot think of using any other cleaner on my face.

This weather has been cruel to the hands and rooting through my mums product draw I came across this beauty! 'Crabtree and Evelyn Hand Therapy' this stuff is a miracle cure for really dry hands. I was using 'Garnier Hand Repair' but as good as it was it didn't really help in the long run. After using this product just once I noticed the difference straight away. It really does work! It contains Shea Butter as the main ingredient and I havent had a dry hand since :) Its not cheap though which is the only down side. £14 for 50ml but again, a little goes a long way and it instantly soothes and hydrates!

Second to last is my new favourite Nail Polish! 'No7 in Fairy Cake' I love pink nail polishes and was extremely happy when I found this one in Boots on its on where the foundation was. Random I know haha! anyway, Its a really pale Pink and reminds me of pink icing on a cupcake... Mind you I guess that's why they call it Fairy Cake..! haha!

Lastly is my 'Benefit Smoking Eyes Kit' this kit is brilliant! I've used this everday since I my boyfriend bought it for me in October! Please see full review here.
