Glossybox - August 2011 ♥

Hey Dolls,

Yesterday I received my 2nd Glossybox :) The excitement has been driving me mad, but I can breathe a sigh of relief as it's now safe in my hands.
Here's what we was sent this month:

From Left to Right:
Rebel Nails Nail Wraps - Mine are blue with a mermaid scale design
Daniel Sandler Jumbo Jet Mascara - Any excuse to own a new mascara is a good one - Full size
KMS heat protection and shine cream - I have some KMS products already and I really like this brand so I am really excited to try this product out. You can use it on towel dried hair before drying or dry hair for extra shine and colour protection. - Full size.
Ahava Mineral Body Lotion - This apparently is part of the brands new 'My Skin Reborn' range and it does smell really good. Had a cheeky use on my hands yesterday and they did stay really soft for the whole day - 40ml
Murad Time Release Acne Cleanser - I've seen this brand mentioned in celeb interviews and 'Things I Love' columns so I was really excited when I first saw it. The only issue I have is A: I don't have acne, and B: its anti - ageing. I'm 23 so not really looking to use Anti- ageing products just yet. Maybe I can give it away :) - 30ml

Overall, I don't think the box was as good as Julys (here) but for £10 I got at least £30 worth of new products. I don't think I will use the nail wraps but that's only because I don't like the pattern or colour. They sent out different colours and patterns so some subscribers got Pink and different designs. Also, I doubt I will use the Murad cleanser as I don't have the right skin to get much out of it. Apart from those two products I'm chuffed with the KMS hair cream and I love the mascara (Very handy considering mine has is nearly been used up) also I love body creams so have no problem with receiving this.

Did anyone else get the same? What do you think about this months?

My Bathroom Favourites ...... ♥

Hello Ladies,

I was in my bathroom, indulging in some pampering time when it hit me, I always revert back to the same products. I guess these would be "My Favourites" So why not share them with you and maybe inspire you to try something new? I was quite impressed that all of the products were purse friendly, and I actaully preferred them to the bigger brands I've tried.

My Favourite........

Shampoo & Conditioner: Pantene ProV Repair & Protect. Every few months I try out a new range of products so my hair doesn't get 'used' to it but nothing makes my hair softer, shiner or healthy looking. Also if it's being used in Spa's then it must be good.

♥ Face wash: Dove Soap. I've tried several face washes from L'oreal to Neutrogena to Clinique but the only one that makes my skin happy is the simple Dove Soap. It doesn't dry my skin out like some of the other soaps/face washes and I've grown up with it so love the smell.

♥ Face Scrub: Soap & Glory 'Scrub your nose in it.' I use this once a week and find it really works. It has very fine granules so it doesn't feel like it's scratching your skin and it has a refreshing peppermint smell. The other good thing about it is, it also doubles up as an exfoliating face mask so you can leave it on for 5-10mins and wash it off. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and dead skin free.

Face Cream: Superdrugs own brand "Vitamin E" cream. I love it so much I even did a full review. Please see here. It smells of coconut, is very moisturising and is a bargain at £2.99. It's always on offer for £1.99 though and lasts me about 3 months using it daily.

Body Scrub: Avon African Shea Butter & Brown Sugar Scrub. I bought this over a year ago and have repurchased twice. This stuff is amazing! Its extremely thick, creamy, smells so good you want to lick yourself and was only £2. Bad news? They have Discontinued it and I can no longer buy it. Boooo! It is my all time fave in the scrub department but now I cannot repurchase this I need recommendations. I don't like gel based scrubs as they don't have much of an effect on me. I like them really thick and sugar based. I've heard amazing things about Soap and Glory's breakfast scrub so that may be next in line?

What are you're favourites? Anything I should be getting to know?

Kardashain Opi Nail Polish

Hey Dolls,

A few months ago I posted about a Kardashian and Opi nail polish collaboration (here) and guess what? The Kardashian Kolours for Nicole for Opi have now been revealed!! I am in LOVE with two of the shades and the names for them are Brilliant. There are shades from Kim, Kris, Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall and Kylie so the whole gang has been involved in this.

Top Row: All Kendall-ed Up, Sealed with a Kris, Kim-pletely In Love, Khloé Had a Little Lam-Lam, Kourt is Red-y for a Pedi, Rainbow in the S-kylie.
Bottom Row: Disco Dolls, Listen to Your Momager!, Wear Something Spar-kylie, It’s All About the Glam, Follow Me on Glitter, Kendall on the Katwalk, My Empire… My Rules.

Don't they look Amazing? I am completely in need for Kim-pletely in Love and My Empire...My Rules.

I can't seem to find anywhere to buy them at the moment and even the Nicole by Opi site isn't selling them. I did however, come across a rumour of 25th November for USA. Don't worry once I've tracked them down I will let you know all about it!

What ones do you guys want??

Week in Pictures

Hey Ladies,

Another busy week went by but I had a really good week. Work went well, we went wedding dress shopping for a friend, I went to a small carnival with my friend and her little boy and took my other half to Bingo. Wooohoo! More weeks like this please :D

1♥ Mondays sweet bowl at work was a big hit! I LOVE Jelly Babies.
2♥ My friend (who is not getting married but couldn't resist) trying on a wedding dress. I promise we did go with a Bride to be. :)
3♥ I didn't want to jinx trying on a wedding dress but I couldn't say no to a Tiara and veil.. I sent a pic to my other half who funny enough didn't say much about it.. ha-ha
4♥  Crystal palace carnival.. Food, drinks, stuff for kids. It was brilliant.
5♥ Why let the kids have all the fun? Lets face it, sometimes we never grow up ;)
6 My boyfriend took me for dinner and I dragged him along for a little bit of bingo ha-ha!

How was your week?

♥ My Wish List ♥

Hi Girlies,

It's nearly Autumn (boooo!) and I have wanted to buy so much. I'm not sure if I have SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) or i just haven't managed to cure my shopping habit yet but I just want a shopping spree!
I've had my eyes on a few things so thought I would share. :)

1♥ Benefit 'They're Real' Mascara. I can not wait to get my mitts on this mascara. I am literally begging payday to hurry up and come!

2♥ Topshop Embellished Sleeve Vest: I think this top would look lovely with some black skinny jeans and heels. Perfect for a few casual drinks or a lunch date.

3♥ Side Tuck Chiffon Blouse: I love the colour of this top for some reason, and I think it would be perfect for evenings out or work. I would probably team this with Black Skinny Jeans and a black tank top underneath. Smart yet has colour. Perfect!

4♥ Buttermilk Nomad Embellished Tee: This is just pure love. I would happily wear this on a night out with skinny jeans and heels. It's just so pretty, detailed and feminine.

5♥ Mischa Barton Sienna Bowler Bag: I saw this bag on Oxford St last year and decided not to buy it and be sensible. Well, I've regretted that decision ever since and have tried to get my hands on it several times. It's always sold out. I've finally found some other sites that sell it and its in stock so I am just awaiting payday!

6♥ Romeo Revolver Necklace: This may be a little controversial considering the recent events in the UK but I've had my eye on this for months. I just always forget to buy it which is ridiculous I know! I may give it a few more weeks just until things calm down. :)

7♥ Bike Brass Necklace : Another statement piece I love. I can't wait to own this. I'm hoping my other half will see my universal amazon wish list and buy it for me!
http://galibardy.businesscatalyst.com/seeall : This website is amazing for jewellery. It has some controversial yet beautiful statement pieces so please give it a look. I discovered it months ago from another blogger who had on an amazing necklace. Ever since I've been hooked, I'd buy the whole store if I could!

What are you all wishing for?

Last Week in Pictures ♥

Hello,

Regardless of this strange yet hot weather, last week was quite fun so thought I'd share some goings on with you. I had a cupcake fest, a go at "Owling" and decided to update my room with a little wall art.
Ps. I must apologise to Tara for using the below pic but I LOVE it!

1♥ Hanging out with the Girls..Nothing like a good old gossip in our local Harvester
2♥ Our boss bought us cupcakes after a stressful day... Yummy!
3♥ My Magazine splurge.. I love Tuesdays!
4♥ After a few drinks we thought we'd do a bit of "Owling." The shame!!
5♥ My hubby n my love struck pooch. He doesn't even feed her but she still loves him more :(
6♥ Saw this wall sticker on Ebay and knew I had to have it. They had hundreds and you can pick any colour! I love this saying as its very fitting to me, I really do have the tendency to do the most ridiculous things!

Hope you all had a good week!

My July Loves ♥

Hi Lovelies,

July was a busy month for me and busy times, mean busy products... I thought I'd share with you what I loved last month and the new products that found their way into my life. ♥

From Top Left to right and around:

Charles Worthington Shine Spray: This stuff has kept my hair looking soooo glossy this summer. On holiday, with all the sun and sea, my hair started to look dry. A few spritz of this and it was back to full shine even if it wasn't repaired.

17 Va Va Voom Volume Mascara - I am a die hard Maybelline mascara fan but I purchased this to broaden my horizons and I am sooo happy I did. It's thick, doesn't clump and does volumise. Plus it stays put all day.

Sleek blush in Pixie Pink : I know this blusher looks extremely bright but I can promise you it's really not. A perfect light pink for the apples of your cheeks.

Beyonce Heat Perfume: My new love. I was obsessed with Jimmy Choo but after getting this free with my Glamour subscription I'm in Love. I've worn it everyday since I got it in the beginning of July and have received loads of compliments.

Jergens Naturals in Daily Moisturising : I was sent this and have been using it twice a week. When I came off holiday my skin looked a bit dry so I shoved this on after my bath. Its a funny consistency but it really gets in to your skin and it smells delicious.

Primark Coke Vanilla Lipbalm - A weird thing to add I know, but I actually love this stuff. its not the most moisturising of lipbalms but it tastes amazing and is really shiny. I've been using it on top of my Mac Saint Germian lipstick.

Illamasqua metal powder: I received this in my glossybox and haven't looked back. I've been using this daily, mixing a few pinchfuls into my foundation and my skin is currently glowing. You can use any other shimmer powder in the same way too. Just crush it up and mix or use a pot of gold pigment eyeshadow. :D This summer is all about Radiance and i am swearing by these kind of products.

Elemis Papaya Enzyme peel - This is an amazing face mask that smells of Papaya and peaches. Delicious. Every time I use it I notice my skin is so hydrated, radiant and soft.

What are you guys loving at the moment? Anything I should know about?

Shopping gone mad - July

Hey Dolls,

On Saturday I was a little bored so I decided the only cure was SHOPPING!

I popped into Primark to have a little look and I was very excited to see they had a huge sale on. :D

♥ The Bits ♥

Shoes: Was £10 reduced to £6

Mint Top: Was £8 reduced to £3.

I wore this top yesterday and it looked so lovely on. I love the lace back and think this top is perfect for after work drinks or a spot of lunch. Its not too dressy but the lace adds a bit of something not too casual either.

I also bought some tights that apparently suck in your stomach. I didn't see the point of a picture as lets face it, tights are boring, but they were only £3 and if what the packet says is true, are going to be a godsend this weekend with a very tight dress and too many drinks!

Any one else grab a few bargains this weekend?
