The past few weeks I've been trying to find the 'one' in a foundation. I've used friends, blagged little samples and thought long and hard about the ones I've used in my life time.
As part of my military quest, I recently tried the Lancome Teint Idol Ultra which was a huge fail. (Read here) So it was on to the next, and that happened to be Nars Sheer Glow foundation.
All I can say is WOW and YAY! I'm seriously impressed with this beauty.
They say: "A glowing, satin-finish foundation with sheer and buildable coverage. Replete with skincare benefits and the NARS Complexion Brightening Formula, skin is hydrated, more luminous, softer and smoother"
2nd Pic - Perfect Coverage
3rd Pic- Little glow on cheeks
This foundation is pretty good. It has a really thin consistency and I can imagine a bottle lasting forever. A small 50p Blob was actually too much for my face. I only had a tiny sachet but it has lasted me 4 whole days. Regardless of the consistency being thin, the coverage is out of this world. I've got quite a few spots on my chin and have always had loads of freckles but my lord, this stuff really does cover. I didn't need concealer or anything!
Another thing I like about this foundation is, unlike some other brands it doesn't dry too quick which gives you the perfect amount of time to blend it in properly. Woohoo! After application I could definitely notice a little glow and my skin looked even and radiant (please see last picture)
After 6 hours of shopping I went home and took another look to see how it lasted and guess what? It's still all intact and no touch up was needed!
The only negative things I have to say about this foundation is the Price. It retails at £29.50 which is quite steep for a foundation however, it would last so long it would be worth it.
A girls hunt for the Holy Grail of foundation is never over so I will be reviewing more in the up and coming weeks.
I have definately put this on my Xmas list and cannot wait to own a full bottle. Here's too radiant, well covered skin.
